Merry Christmas Everyone

Stevenage Starlets Christmas Party 2019

As the year draws to a close it’s time to celebrate the festive season with the whole club getting together for our third annual Christmas Party.

With well over 100 of our girls attending, Air Space was filled with the sound of happy Starlets as they took over the trampoline park to show off their bouncing skills. Joined by a few brave adults the girls had a fantastic time, before tucking into some party food and exchanging the all important Secret Santa gifts.

It’s truly amazing to see so many of our young players together in one place, something which as we continue to grow is increasingly difficult to achieve. Not so long ago everyone in the club could fit around one table, so just a few years down the line it’s hard to believe we now need to take over a whole venue!

We know that the club is about so much more than just playing football and an event like this really shows all of the amazing friendships and lifelong memories that are being created as part of what we do. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making this special day happen.

A Time for Giving

Of course Christmas is also a time for spreading goodwill to all and we are proud to say we had great success with our ‘reverse advent calendar’ appeal.

We’d asked the girls to bring along donations to training throughout the month of December so that we could donate these to a local foodbank to create some festive cheer for hard pressed families in our area. The response across the club was more than we ever expected with a truly impressive haul of food and gifts.

Massive thanks everyone for your incredible generosity. We hope that by taking part we have not only made a few Christmases a little more merry and bright, but also that our girls gained an understanding of what our club values mean outside of football. We are so proud to be part of this amazing community.

All that remains is for everyone at Stevenage Starlets to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2020!
