Introducing Our First Ever Home Kit
31 August 2017
With just a few weeks left until the start of the season, we’ve been busy getting everything ready for our debut league campaign. Until now however there's one rather vital element that's been missing. So today we passed another huge milestone in our club’s short history, handing our girls the first ever Stevenage Starlets FC home kit.
Of course it’s not every day you get to see your team fully kitted out for the very first time, so we thought we’d make a bit of an effort to mark the launch with some proper photos. Now some might say they are ‘only’ 10 year old girls, but they are little superstars to us and we think they deserve the full Premier League treatment.
After months of hard work behind the scenes getting the girls measured up, everything ordered, badges embroidered and sponsor logos printed (not to mention quite a lot of last minute ironing) we were blown away to finally see the girls wearing the official navy blue shirts, shorts and socks of Stevenage Starlets FC.
They also picked up matching tracksuits, raincoats and bags along with a full training kit, meaning they are well prepared to take on anything the weather can throw at them through the course of the season. Although we do say so ourselves, we think everything looks amazing and now we're even more excited to see them in action.
Thanks again to all those supporting us
Of course none of this would be possible without the help of others, so once again we’d like to thank our main shirt sponsors Skechers, along with Stevenage Community Trust, Sunbeam Fostering and the Football Foundation for their generous support in getting our little club off to such an incredible start. Bring on the new season. This is our time to shine.
PS. In case you are wondering, the girls were actually very happy with their new kit, we just asked them to look serious for the photos (even though some of them are clearly too sweet to manage fierce). Here's some big smiles as proof if needed...
PPS. We've been blown away by the response to this on social media. To see it being shared and liked by some of the girls favourite players is more than we could have dreamed of...
